Tails & Whiskers Booking Terms & Conditions

By booking the services of myself Karen Smart T/A Tails and Whiskers, you expressly agree to the following terms and conditions.

  • I will always provide services with a professional attitude, ensuring the utmost care of your pet whilst at the same time maintaining the safety of the public and myself at all times.
  • I have the right to cancel or cut the service short if an animal does not respond well to me and I must make the owner of the animal aware as soon as possible.
  • All dogs must be sociable with other dogs and children.
  • Female dogs will not be walked whilst they are deemed to be in season.
  • I reserve the right to cut walks short if the weather conditions become extreme for the safety of the dog and myself.
  • I will not be responsible for any loss, injury or death of any animal inside or outside of the clients home or by transportation in a car or any other type of motorised transportation.
  • The animal owner/client if required agrees to their pet being transported by car if so required as part of the service provided.
  • I will not be responsible for vet fees. I will ask you to sign a waiver in the event that the pet needs to be taken to the vets for medical treatment. Vets contact details must be made available.
  • All animals need to be up to date with flea, worming, vaccinations and be in good health and a reasonable behavioural condition.
  • If clients return home early then unfortunately there is no reduction in fee for services I have provided or am contracted to provide.
  • Clients must authorise me to handle any emergencies that may arise. I will take every effort to contact the client or animal owner immediately.
  • Clients will provide all essential items for animal care not limited to foods, treats,cleaning items, bedding and next of kin details.
  • I will be allowed 3 - 4 hours break per day when contracted for long stay pet/house sitting services.
  • Pet sitting cancellations: 50% refundable if advised of the cancellation not less than 10 full days before commencement of agreed contract or service start date. After 10 days then no refund is avaiable.
  • Payments in full are to be made in cash or BACS transfer on confirmation of booking.
